MAIN: Post 12.2: Question 2

How does your media product represent particular social groups?

The media product that we have produced represents our characters in a particular social group and this social group is teenagers that go to school and this is represented by people of a young age outside a school and in groups. These characters are not of the age of having their own jobs so therefore they would be living at home with thier families, so they are at the social class of what their families are depending on their parent's jobs.

This image is showing the school gates and students walking out. This would appeal to the younger age group because they may feel like they can relate to these people and would be interested in what will happen.

The mise-en-scene of this opening sequence would also appeal to the younger audience because the characters are in school uniforms. They are not dressed as smart as they should be but this shows a typical student of this age.

This image of a man following the girl will bring the older audience of males to be interested because they would feel a sense of mystery happening.

Also the location may contribute because there is alot of trees and bushes around and this may be seen as a woods area.
